Background information

As a military history of German engineering, the Leopard 1 wrote military history from 1965. Its development marked Germany's return to international armored production. The perfect balance of mobility, firepower and protection made it an export hit - more than 4,700 copies were produced and exported to 13 countries. The various user states developed their own variants, which differed in specific adjustments and equipment. Until 2003 he formed the backbone of the German Panzertruppe before it was replaced by Leopard 2.
